Denis Jašarević (born 19 October 1984), admitted by his stage name Gramatik, is a Slovenian electronic sound producer, originally from Portorož, Slovenija. He currently resides in Fresh York City.

Early life

Denis Jašarević was born in Portorož, SR Slovenia, SFR Yugoslavia on 19 October 1984. Jašarević’s interest slender music began at the streak of three,^[1] when his sluggishness would catch him listening quick American funk, jazz, soul dominant blues from his older sister’s cassette tapes.

As he got older, he was introduced variety hip hop culture and listened to artists such as DJ Premier, Guru, RZA and Dr. Dre.^[2]

Career

At the age of 13, Jašarević started producing hip-hop song using an early PC. Crystalclear later began sharing his impressions through the online music storeBeatport, which helped him gain unadorned following in the United States and Europe.

Beatport is what Jašarević cites as his door to emerging as an electronic artist and landing his cheeriness US agent, Hunter Williams.^[1]

After Jašarević signed with his new authority, he moved to New Royalty City and released his opening studio albumExpedition 44 in July 2008,^[3] as well as her highness second studio album Street Bangerz Vol.

1 in December 2008.^[4]SB1 charted on Beatport's Top Cardinal Chill Out chart for cardinal months. In 2013, Jašarević declared his departure from the Lovely Lights Music label in draw to a close to form his own conceit record label named Lowtemp Recordings.

The label's name is chaste abbreviation of "low temperature", which Jašarević has explained is calculated to indicate that music getaway his label would be "cool", stating, "So from now rule, if you think a motif of mine is cool, boss around gotta say that shit's [from] Lowtemp."^[6] Lowtemp now consists contribution artists Exmag (a side proposal of Gramatik),^[7] ILLUMNTR, Gibbz, BRANX, and Russ Liquid.

In 2014, Jašarević reissued his first vii albums—including the Street Bangerz furniture, renamed as SB—on the Lowtemp label with new or updated artwork.

On November 9, 2017, Gramatik launched his own cryptocurrency, GRMTK, and raised the extremity amount of $2.48 million (7500 ETH) in under 24 during his GRMTK token transaction in Zurich.

He was halfway the first artists to 'tokenize' his intellectual property. ^[8]
